About UsThe Business Schools Association of Canada (BSAC), is the association of university faculties and schools of business and management in Canada. Our mission is to promote quality in management education and the professional development of business school administrators through various types of events, research and information services, and representation. Governance structureBSAC is a non-profit organisation, incorporated in Canada under the Canadian Corporations Act. The organisation is governed by a Board of Directors, elected by the membership at the Annual Assembly. General policies are set by the Board and ratified by the Membership.

Board of directorsThe BSAC Board is composed of Deans or Directors from business school members of the Association, representing a cross section of regions and types of schools in Canada. Directors' mandate are for two years. You may find below the list of current directors. | ChairThe current Chair of BSAC is Anne-Marie Croteau, Dean of the John Molson School of Business at Concordia University, in Montréal. Dean Croteau became Chair in November 2020. Her mandate as Chair continues until October 2022. See her profile here. | Executive directorTimothy (Tim) Daniel Daus has been Executive Director since 1998. Acting under the authority delegated by the Board, he is responsible for all activities and operations of BSAC. The Executive Director also sits on several Advisory Boards and Working Committees of external bodies, in Canada and abroad. |
HistoryIt was previously known, until June 30, 2020, as the Canadian Federation of Business School Deans (CFBSD) and was founded as the Canadian Federation of Deans of Management and Administrative Studies in 1957. Since its creation, the Federation has grown to have more than 70 members - including virtually all Canadian business schools - and partnerships with more than a dozen international networks. |
