Position: Lecturer in Operations Management (4-months contractual)

Subject to budgetary restrictions, applications are invited for a four-month teaching term contractual appointment at the Lecturer rank to teach Operations Management courses at the undergraduate and graduate level. The position commences in January 2020. Applicants should possess a MBA, or MSc or earned doctorate or PhD in progress in Business or a closely related field, recent relevant experience teaching at the university and/or professional level, significant practical and managerial experience in operations management including systems performance, quality and process improvement, and data analytics. Experience teaching at the graduate level and experience in both the service and manufacturing contexts and public and private sectors would be considered an asset. Applicants should have a demonstrated commitment to teaching as well as demonstrated sustained academic and professional engagement that reflects faculty practice-oriented development activities and a multi- disciplinary approach that supports integration of relevant, current practice of business and management consistent with the school’s mission, expected outcomes, and supporting strategies including the ability to leverage innovative platforms to aid business evaluation and performance. Appointment and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience, as stipulated by the MUN-MUNFA Collective Agreement. Course design and evaluation methods for all courses will be in accordance with the Faculty of Business Administration regulations and policies and the Memorial University Calendar.
